The startup that will be considered the most innovative will receive a recognition of EUR 5,000<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Milan, June 5 2018 &#8211; siderweb<\/strong> &#8211; The steel community, the only national online newspaper entirely dedicated to economic\/steel information, which organises Made in Steel (the main Conference &amp; Exhibition in Southern Europe dedicated to the entire supply chain of steel) and <strong>Digital Magics<\/strong>, the most important incubator of digital startups &#8220;Made in Italy&#8221; which operates throughout Italy, launch <strong>&#8220;ACCIAIO 4.0 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Startup Contest&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective of the Call for Innovation is to <strong>create a real innovation<\/strong> within the steel supply chain which is <strong>one of the most important national markets and the tenth in the world<\/strong> (production of 24 million tons, about 600 thousand more than in 2017 an increase of +2.9% Source: Worldsteel), by helping companies to improve their internal processes and their proposals on the market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Call is aimed at all the Italian startups<\/strong> which operate in the areas of <strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Impresa 4.0\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Formazione 4.0\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/strong>, developing innovative business models for the <strong>steel supply chain and its value chain<\/strong>: from finding the raw material to processing; from storage and transport to the marketing of the finished product, including all areas related to energy management, safety, customer relations and training and HR (to facilitate the inclusion of new resources and increase the knowledge of the operators in the market).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">siderweb and Digital Magics want to identify innovative products and services in certain <strong>technological areas including<\/strong>: advanced manufacturing, blockchain, cybersecurity, augmented reality, Big Data, robotics, artificial intelligence, safety and IoT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From today until July 6 it will be possible to submit projects to the website <strong><u><a href=\"http:\/\/openinnovation.digitalmagics.com\/it\/challenge\/acciaio4-0\">http:\/\/openinnovation.digitalmagics.com\/it\/challenge\/acciaio4-0<\/a><\/u><\/strong>. Among all the business ideas submitted, the 12 best startups will be selected to participate on Friday <strong>September 21<\/strong> at the <strong>final day of Pitch within the innovA event<\/strong> &#8211; the future of steel is no longer what it once was (Brixia Forum in Brescia, from September 20 to September 22 2018).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The jury of &#8220;ACCIAIO 4.0 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Startup Contest&#8221;, formed by siderweb, Digital Magics and the major players in the steel industry, will choose the <strong>best startup<\/strong> that will receive a <strong>recognition of EUR 5,000<\/strong>. The steel companies present in the jury will also evaluate the possibility of starting <strong>commercial partnerships<\/strong> and <strong>technological support with a view to <em>Open Innovation<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;We started from the observation that &#8216;the future of steel is no longer what it once was&#8217; and that the excellence and know-how of our supply chain must be reinforced with massive doses of innovation, with a &#8216;contaminating shock&#8217;.
