DIGITAL MAGICS WINS THE PRIZE FOR BEST IPO INNOVATIVE PROJECT ON AIM ITALIA, ORGANISED BY IR TOP AND UKTI AT THE ITALIAN STOCK EXCHANGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The certified incubator for innovative startups was honored today during the first edition of the\u00c2\u00a0AIM Investor Day, dedicated to Italian listed\u00c2\u00a0SMEs with high growth potential.<\/em><\/p>\n

Milan, 3 April, 2014<\/strong> – Digital Magics<\/strong>, the certified incubator for innovative startups listed on the Italian Stock Exchange’s\u00c2\u00a0AIM Italia market (symbol DM), was awarded\u00c2\u00a0the prize for Best IPO Innovative Project<\/em><\/strong> during the first edition of the AIM Investor Day<\/strong>, an event held today at the\u00c2\u00a0Palazzo Mezzanotte and organised by IR Top<\/strong>, a leader in Italy in specialist consultancy\u00c2\u00a0on Investor Relations and Financial Communications, and UK Trade & Investment<\/strong>, an agency of the British Government for\u00c2\u00a0trade and investments.<\/p>\n

The criteria used for awarding Digital Magics the prize were the following: the analysis of business model<\/strong>; the capital raised<\/strong>; the number of subscribers <\/strong>at the moment of listing<\/strong>; the grounds of<\/strong> theIPO<\/strong>; theuse of capital<\/strong>; the growth strategies<\/strong> announced and the innovation component<\/strong> that characterises the business model.<\/p>\n

31 July 2013<\/strong> saw the start of\u00c2\u00a0trading<\/strong> in the\u00c2\u00a0ordinary shares of Digital Magics on AIM Italia<\/strong>, the Alternative Capital Market dedicated to small and medium-sized Italian enterprises with high growth potential, organised and managed by the Italian Stock Exchange (Ticker DM – ISIN: IT0004900160), with an overall uptake\u00c2\u00a0of approximately \u00e2\u201a\u00ac8.5 million<\/strong>, including conversions of bonds. Digital Magics capitalised \u00e2\u201a\u00ac26 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the course of 2013 Digital Magics sold 1,504,100 ordinary shares, newly issued for a total value, including share premium, of \u00e2\u201a\u00ac10.57 million. Digital Magics invested in 11 new startups in 2013\u00c2\u00a0for a total of around \u00e2\u201a\u00ac3.47 million<\/strong>. As of 31 December 2013 the Digital Magics\u00c2\u00a0portfolio includes 31 investments, of which 10 are\u00c2\u00a0innovative startups<\/strong>. In 2013 the net\u00c2\u00a0capital invested totalled\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u201a\u00ac11.2 million (\u00e2\u201a\u00ac6.3 million in 2012), the net equity was \u00e2\u201a\u00ac13.8 million (around \u00e2\u201a\u00ac3 million\u00c2\u00a0in 2012), while the net financial\u00c2\u00a0position improved by \u00e2\u201a\u00ac6 million, going from an indebtedness\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u201a\u00ac 3.4 million in 2012\u00c2\u00a0to a\u00c2\u00a0liquidity of \u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a02.6 million in 2013.<\/p>\n
