GIOIN is an initiative by Digital Magics, business incubator listed on AIM market of Italian Stock Exchange (symbol: DM)
The Industry Plan 4.0 is an incredible opportunity that ‘Made in Italy’ companies must seize in order to accelerate the processes that will lead to entirely automated and interconnected industrial production, improving performance and productivity.
The following people will attend: Matteo Zoppas, President of Confindustria Veneto; Rosario Rizzuto, Rector Magnificus of the University of Padua; Alberto Fioravanti, Founder and Executive Chairman of Digital Magics; Marco Gay, Executive Vice President of Digital Magics and President of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs; Layla Pavone, Managing Director of Digital Magics for Industry Innovation; Gabriele Ronchini, Founder and Managing Director of Digital Magics for Portfolio Development; Alessandro Malacart, Managing Director of Digital Magics for Corporate & Finance; Gianni Potti, Partner of Digital Magics Triveneto; Matteo Rosso, Industry 4.0 Leader of E&Y Advisory Services, Guido Colombo, Founder and President of the startup Orchestra; Massimo Temporelli, Founder and President of the startup The Fablab; Karim Zaitov, CEO of the startup Industrial Cloud and Alberto Palazzin, Founder and CEO of the startup Conself.
Digital Magics opened in Padua in July 2016 Digital Magics Triveneto, its fifth branch, in order to support the innovation ecosystem in Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The incubator of Triveneto has evaluated and met with over 100 digital startups in the area, confirming the high rate of innovation through more than 1,000 startups and innovative SMEs (Veneto: 572 startups and 35 SMEs; Trentino Alto Adige: 218 startups and 8 SMEs; Friuli Venezia Giulia: 163 startups and 18 SMEs).
In 2016, Veneto was the fourth region of Italy by number of innovative startups and represented 7.99% of the national total. Padua and Trento are among the top 10 Italian provinces with the biggest number of innovative startups. The region with the highest incidence of innovative startups compared to the sum of capital companies is Trentino Alto Adige (1.07%), Trento ranks first with 142 startups every 10,000 corporations and then follows, in second place, Trieste with 139. In 2016 GIOIN involved more than 1,000 people throughout the national territory: business owners, CEOs, directors in innovation and marketing, and representatives of institutions took part in the 6 itinerant events (Milan, Rome, Saint Vincent, Naples, Palermo). Due to the success and interest shown, GIOIN 2017 has added two more dates to the series of meetings and has forged partnerships with leading companies such as Intesa Sanpaolo Group, Boraso, Cisco, Ernst & Young, Fastweb, Oracle and QVC Italy, which are the partners of this year’s edition, along with Talent Garden, DLA Piper and Dol. GIOIN 2017 also boasts the collaboration with Group 24 ORE that will support the entire cycle of events.
The event taking place on March 16 in Padua is the first of the 8 GIOIN appointments for the year 2017, designed to explore the opportunities of the so-called Generation 4.0, or to understand how to develop ‘process innovation’, how to diversify its product range and service, by using technology platforms, through collaboration with innovative startups. GIOIN is in fact focused on sharing concrete experiences and “case history”, involving entrepreneurs and startuppers who are putting into practice the paradigm of Open Innovation in their fields.
The second event of GIOIN will be held in Naples on April 6 within the Innovation Village 2017 (Overseas Exhibition – Hall 6) and will focus on AgriTech and Digital Manufacturing.
OPEN INNOVATION SUMMIT 2017 – Special Edition
The fifth meeting of the GIOIN will take place on June 30 and July 1 in Saint Vincent and will involve the key players in the digital sector, institutions, companies, investors, incubators, startuppers that will debate to take stock of the situation, in evolutionary terms, of all the Italian innovation ecosystem.
GIOIN – Gasperini Italian Open Innovation Network – is the brainchild of the late Enrico Gasperini, Founder of Digital Magics and recognized as a pioneer and innovator, who passed away prematurely in November 2015. GIOIN, in essence, provides companies with information, training and sharing paths orientated towards accessing support tools and stimuli, aimed at the search for unconventional solutions, critical to addressing the challenge of innovation, improving industrial processes, generating value and creating new products and services through digital innovative startups. The aim of GIOIN is to train future Innovation Officers within companies.
