DIGITAL MAGICS TO ENTER INTO A FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT WITH GATE14 GROUP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE STARTUPS AND FOR THE OVERSIGHT OF THE ROME AREA
Milan, 14 January 2014 – Digital Magics, a certified venture incubator of innovative startups listed since July 2013 on AIM Italia of Borsa Italiana (ticker: DM), and Gate14 Group, a company operating in four business segments, namely business consulting, Equity investments, internationalization and integrated communication, have signed an industrial partnership agreement to develop new digital initiatives and support more mature startups with co-investments and professional services for the growth of newly established companies.
Digital Magics’ Angel Network can now boast a leading player: recently entered the shareholding structure of Digital Magics, Gate14 Group will evaluate the companies carefully selected and incubated by Digital Magics, participate in funding rounds, put forward new high-growth potential startups and collaborate with the incubator, by offering professional competencies and making available its system of relations.
More specifically, the agreement provides that Digital Magics and Gate14 Group are mutually committed to make co-investments used to fund the startups selected and agreed upon, to accelerate their growth process. Moreover, Digital Magics may take advantage of the Gate14 Group base in Rome to strengthen its own presence in Italy’s capital city.
Digital Magics shall collaborate with Gate14 Group for the technology and strategy development of Gatenews24, the Group’s new web magazine. The online portal will give a voice to small and medium-sized enterprises, experts and leaders of Italy’s cutting-edge industries like niche Made in Italy products, tourism, wellness, catering, digital with special focus on internationalization, thanks to the many correspondents around the world.
