BUZZOOLE WINS THE INTEL BUSINESS CHALLENGE EUROPE AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FINAL OF THE INTEL GLOBAL CHALLENGE IN THE USA
The Italian start-up incubator 56CUBE and Digital Magics, able to identify influencers on the web, has won the prize in the ICT category and will represent Europe in the final of the competition in Berkeley, California
Naples, September 18, 2014 – Buzzoole, The innovative start-up able to identify influencers on the web, has won the Intel Business Challenge Europe 2014 in Lithuania in the ICT category and will participate in the final of the Intel Global Challenge 2014 in Berkeley, California. The winners were selected after 8 months between 25,000 nominees from 12 different countries (Israel, Norway, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, UK, Bulgaria, Ireland, Denmark and Poland). Only 5 teams will represent Europe from 3rd to 6th November in the United States and Buzzoole is one of two Italian start-up winners of the European edition, both are candidates at the world finals.
Buzzoole – buzzoole.com – is 56CUBE’s new digital business, venture incubator Start-up in Southern Italy born within Digital Magics, certified incubator of innovative start-up quoted on AIM Italia the Italian stock market (symbol: DM). Buzzoole is the first Italian platform, based on an algorithm and a proprietary technology, which enables companies to qualitatively identify influencers of their market and, thanks to them, generate word of mouth online. In February 2014 Buzzoole launched Finder, The search engine that lets you find influencers thanks to specific searches, from a pool of more than 2 billion users.
The awards ceremony was held in the National Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius and the winners were awarded by Evaldas Gustas, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. The jury was made up of imported venture capitalists, academics and entrepreneurs including Jakub Probola Managing Director of Hub: raum, Julie Meyer CEO of Ariadne Capital, and Mindaugas Glodas General Manager of Nextury Ventures.
The competition sponsored by Intel was created to motivate young European entrepreneurs to develop innovative technologies that solve real-world challenges, build viable business models and to transfer technology from talent to the market.
