MIA – MISS IN ACTION IS LOOKING FOR INNOVATIVE FEMALE-DRIVEN STARTUPS AND SMES TO SUPPORT THE DIGITAL TALENT OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

Milan, 10th January 2019 – The MIA – Miss In Action accelerator will choose the 4 best innovative female-driven startups and SMEs which will have access to the programme: training and development of the product/service, creation of a prototype, and a final event with investors.
All innovative Italian startups and SMEs which were founded by female entrepreneurs or are made up of at least 50% women have until January 20th to apply with their project on the www.missinaction.it platform.
MIA – Miss In Action: the project
MIA – Miss In Action is an initiative from Digital Magics, the most important incubator of “Made in Italy” digital startups active throughout Italy, BNP Paribas International Financial Services, BNP Paribas Cardif, Findomestic, Arval Italy and BNL BNP Paribas Group under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.
The first acceleration programme dedicated to innovative Italian female-driven startups and SMEs includes three stages:
- dedicated training and development of products/services, lasting 3 months
- creation of a working prototype to launch on the market (MVP Minimum Viable Product), lasting two months
- Investor Day, the final event with investors in Milan.
The judges for MIA – Miss In Action
Anne Abbott, Vice President of the META Group and partner at IAG; Paola Bonomo, Business Angel; Frieda Brioschi, entrepreneur and Professor at IED; Roberta Cocco, Head of Digital Transformation and Civic Services, Municipality of Milan; Alessandra Gritti, CEO of Tamburi Investment Partners; Sandra Mori, President of Valore D and Data Privacy Officer for Coca Cola Europe; Valentina Parenti, Co-Founder and General Manager of Gamma Donna, and Fausta Pavesio, Business Angel and Investor Board Member of Smartup Capital, are the 8 women executives, entrepreneurs, business angels and representatives of institutions who, together with the management of Digital Magics and the BNP Paribas Group, will be the judges for MIA – Miss In Action and will choose the winning business idea, supporting female startuppers throughout the course of acceleration to help them grow.
