D2O – DIGITAL TO OPERATION: NEW CALL FROM TERNA AND DIGITAL MAGICS ENERGYTECH TO IMPROVE CORPORATE PROCESSES, WORK AND PERSONAL SAFETY

  • The aim is to find start-ups and innovative SMEs developing new technologies, devices, applications and services with a high added value able to implement a “digital transformation” of industrial processes, work and employee safety

Rome/Milan, 23 May 2019 – The D2O – Digital To Operation is on the go; the new Call launched by Terna, the company operating the national electricity grid and by Digital Magics EnergyTech, a specialised incubation programme for digital start-ups in the energy sector.

The aim of the Call for Innovation is to find the best start-ups and innovative SMEs able to create digital solutions for improving personal safety and the company’s core operating processes, increasing their efficiency and efficacy.

The people working at Terna are in fact an asset of fundamental importance and one of the enabling factors of the Group’s strategic mission for the country. Loyalty, Passion and Responsibility are the values which all Terna’s employees share and which guide them in their daily work.

D2O – Digital to Operation focuses on two main areas:
Digital worker: digital systems and devices dedicated to people working in the field to increase their efficiency at work, their safety and to safeguard their health.
Digital platforms: platforms for digitalising corporate back office processes

Ten finalists will be selected from the projects sent by 23 June to the website https://openinnovation.digitalmagics.com/it/challenge/d2o-digital-to-operationwho will then participate in the final Pitch day on 8 July, presenting their innovations and business models.

The finalist presenting the best project will be awarded a prize of € 15,000.

The ten finalists will also have the opportunity to embark on a development and Open Innovation course within Terna’s dedicated Human Renewable Resources and Digital To Operation facility.
