A native of Turin, born in 1976, Marco Gay is married and has three children. Family represents one of the essential values of his life and he finds in it a large part of his motivations. His roots come from a family business and industry, whose values and ethics have formed his character and his outlook on life, enriched and strengthened by the experiences he has had the good fortune to live. Growing up with the company and with the company management has been one of the most profitable Master’s degree that he could undertake.
His business career began in the family Proma SpA, a company operating in the glass-ceramics sector, that was later sold to Saint-Gobain Abrasives, and he continues as a consultant in commercial and human resources. In parallel he serves as a professor at the European Institute of Design and in courses organised by the University of Turin and the Piedmont Region.
Since 2000 he has been a Co-Founder and CEO of Webworking, working with Company management with a specialisation in Management for business, in particular Business Strategy, Communication, and Web Marketing. In 2007 he acquired the shares of Ottovolante, a company specialising in Digital Project for the pharmaceutical sector and became its CEO. He later joined in the agency advertising GSW WorldWide Italy as CEO, with the task of integrating the agency with the international network inVentiv Health. In 2012 he was appointed President of the Rotary Club Torino Superga.
In 2013, he was a Co-Founder of AD2014, an innovative startup in the Internet of Things, and of Torino1884, a company operating in the food and beverage business for the development of sales outlets in Italy and abroad, in partnership with leading companies in the production of goods that belong within the tradition and are connected to the local and national history. For both companies he also holds the positions of Chairman.
Since May 2015 he has been a Board Member of the Company Online Sim.
In 2004 he started his path in the confederal system of Italian system by entering the Group of Young Entrepreneurs, of Turin and in 2008 he was appointed Vice-president of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Piedmont, becoming President in 2011. Also in 2011 he was appointed Vice-president of Confindustria Piedmont. He became a part of the Central Council of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and, in May 2013, he became the National Delegate for Young Entrepreneurs in the Technical Committee of Confindustria for the deployment of Evolved Digital Services. In September 2011, he worked closely with the Councillor for Economic Development, Research and Innovation of the Piedmont Region, for the implementation of the Youth Plan of the Piedmont Region, 10 economic and financial measures to support youth employment and new entrepreneurship.
From May 2014 to May 2017 he was the President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and Vice President of Confindustria.
From May 2016 he has been a Board Member of University LUISS Guido Carli.
From September 2017 he has been the President of Technical Group “Formazione di sistema” of Confindustria.
From April 2018 he has been Board Member of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A..
From April 2018 he has been the President of Anitec-Assinform: member of Confindustria and Confindustria Digitale Federation which gathers ICT and Consumer Electronics companies in Italy.
From March 2019 he has been Vicepresident of Confindustria Digitale.
On 30th November 2015 he was appointed Partner of Digital Magics. From November 2015 to December 2017 he was appointed Executive Deputy Chairman of Digital Magics.
On December 12th 2017 Marco Gay he was appointed CEO of Digital Magics.
